For those of us approaching graduation (Congratulations!!), it’s time to think strategically about careers (and for the rest of us, it’s never too early to start thinking about summer employment and keeping our resumés up to date). The prospect of looking for employment can be daunting, but U of T has plenty of resources and services to help students make the transition from university to career. At our November 14 meeting, Candice Stoliker will introduce us to the resources available through the University of Toronto’s Career Services. She’ll also give us insider info on summer job opportunities, and speak about building resumé and interview skills. As student parents, many of us are mature students with work experience – an advantage Candice will show us how to leverage by using resumés to tell our story and land the job! Join us on Monday November 14 from 12-2 for lunch and an invaluable kickstart to a successful job search!
