Peer Mentorship Program

The Peer Mentorship Program has been created to address the challenges that arise for students who may have been away from formal education for a period when going into full or part-time studies at the University of Toronto. The objective of the program is to ensure new students remain engaged and committed to their development and education. This will be achieved by building confidence and skills through mentorship and by providing a safe space for guidance during students’ first year.

The program is designed to guide students in their efforts to achieve academic, social and personal goals as a new university student. The program will provide participants with the opportunity to learn and grow through guidance, communication and leadership of a supportive community. These program benefits are accessible to both mentors and mentees. A few hours a month could change your life and your success level in university studies and more.

Note: The Application Period for recruiting  mentees and mentors has closed and will re-open in July. If you are interested in participating, please e-mail Christina Alcena, Student Life Coordinator, christina.alcena@utoronto.ca
